During that time, she wrote and produced more than 50 television programs and as many successful foundation proposals. She now serves as copy editor for the Higher Education Exchange, editor of the monthly online journal, Garden Sense, and chief-wrangler at Family of Writers.

Kevin O'Donnell, Joey's son, is editor-in-chief for Fairmont High School's award-winning online newspaper, The Flyer.
